Nick is a partner specialising in dispute resolution in the construction and infrastructure sector, with a focus on international arbitration. He has an impressive amount of experience, having worked in our Dubai, London, Paris and Tokyo offices on matters of a variety of scale and complexity in the energy (including renewables), oil & gas, transport and infrastructure sectors. He has led the Middle East construction disputes practice since 2019.

Nick has acted on international arbitrations under the rules of all the major institutions, both for employers and contractors, and involving all major forms of procurement (construction, design and build, EPC). He has also advised and conducted training on the major industry forms, in particular the FIDIC suite, as well as on the ICC Rules. Nick has represented various key clients on high value and significant construction disputes in the Middle East, Asia, Europe, Africa and South America.

Nick has been recognised as a “Leading Individual” by Legal 500 EMEA 2023 for UAE Construction; also as a ranked individual by Chambers Global 2021-2024; and (most recently) as a highly ranked lawyer by Who’s Who Legal: Arbitration 2024.
