Ms. Hannah Cao

Ms. Hannah Cao joined Silk Road Fund in 2015 and currently serves as its General Counsel. She oversees the fund’s legal, compliance and risk management functions, and sits on its Sustainable Investment Committee.

 

Prior to joining Silk Road Fund, Ms. Cao practiced law with international law firms in New York and Beijing. Early in her career, she worked at the International Business Department of the Headquarters of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China.

 

Ms. Cao was recognized by Financial Times as FT Global GC 25 in 2018 and by Chambers and Partners as Global Influencer 100 in 2019, and received from China Law and Business Journal an award of 2021 Top Environmental and Renewable Energy In-house Counsel.

 

Ms. Cao is a member of the New York Bar. She received a BA in International Economics from Peking University, a MA in International Relations from Yale General Counsel Silk Road Fund (SRF), China Hannah Cao University and a Juris Doctor (magna cum laude) from Brooklyn Law School.

  • Photography Permission: By accepting these terms and conditions, you grant permission for the SCCA, RIDW25 Organizing Committee and the Event Organizers to take photographs during the conference and events which may be used for marketing and promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed, please inform the event organizers beforehand.
  • Post-Event Communciation: By accepting these terms and conditions, you grant permission for the SCCA, RIDW25 Organizing Committee and the Event Organizers to contact you after the events regarding services and opportunities that may be of interest to you. If you prefer not to receive such communications, please inform the event organizers beforehand.
