Dr. Mahmood Hussain, founding partner of M&CO Legal, has over 20 years of experience in the public and private sectors. As a litigator at Dubai Courts, he has secured favorable outcomes in high-profile cases, specializing in dispute resolution, international commercial arbitration, civil and commercial litigation, and corporate governance.

Accredited as an arbitrator at DIAC and the Abu Dhabi Commercial Conciliation and Arbitration Center, Dr. Hussain is also an internationally certified mediator. He has participated in over 50 arbitration proceedings under ICC, LCIA, ADCCAC, and DIAC rules, often serving as sole arbitrator, co-arbitrator, or tribunal chair.

Dr. Hussain serves as a Board Member of ICC-UAE, chairs its Arbitration and ADR Commission, and is a member of the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR in Paris. He was instrumental in establishing the DIFC Courts, serving as a founding Committee member, first Deputy Registrar, and contributor to DIFC legislation. He also holds the right of audience before these courts.

Previously, as Vice President for Board Relations and Corporate Governance at du Telecom, he developed a world-class governance framework. Dr. Hussain is an adjunct professor at the University of East Anglia and Pantheon-Assas University Paris II, and an advisor to the British University in Dubai. He actively supports global events like Dubai Arbitration Week and Cyprus Arbitration Day.
