Aarta Alkarimi is a Chartered Arbitrator and accredited mediator with extensive experience acting as an independent arbitrator in complex international commercial disputes, with particular emphasis on construction and infrastructure, energy, real estate, joint ventures, international trade, and shareholder matters.
She has served as sole, co, and presiding arbitrator in numerous arbitrations conducted under leading institutional rules, including ICC, LCIA, SIAC, DIAC, AAA-ICDR, QICCA, and AIAC, across both civil and common law systems. She is an empanelled arbitrator with the Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration (SCCA). She is a Fellow of CIArb, an officer of the CIArb UAE Branch, one of the UAE’s delegates to the ICC Global Commission on Arbitration and ADR, and Co-Chair of the International Bar Association’s International Construction Projects Committee (ICP) for the 2026–2028 term. She also serves on the IBA’s Diversity and Inclusion Council.
She is a frequent speaker on dispute resolution and dispute avoidance, with a particular focus on arbitration and mediation.
