By request Free

Registration and Lunch for the IPBA/Al Tamimi & Company session from 12:30 pm.

This session will be immediately followed by a session hosted by SIAC/YSIAC/Al Tamimi & Company. Following that, there is a joint networking reception hosted by SIAC/YSIAC/Inter-Pacific Bar Association/Al Tamimi & Company.

The IPBA/Al Tamimi & Company session looks at how a person's cultural world view can impact on the outcome of international arbitration, in particular disputes relating to complex construction projects involving international parties, and why cultural competence and empathy can be important qualities to conduct an effective international arbitration. It also discusses common misunderstandings on how culture impacts decision making, and raises awareness of the impact of culture on advocacy and the psychology of decision making.
