Prof. Dr. Mohamed Sameh Amr is an Attorney at law, Founding Partner of Amr and Partners Law Firm, located in Cairo, Egypt. He is a Professor and the Chair of International Law, at Cairo University. Amr is a Board member of Faculty of Law, Cairo University.  Amr is an independent arbitrator as well as acting as a legal advisor in the field of corporate law (Investment Law, Financing and Banking Law, Corporate and Commercial Law). Amr is a Board member of the Egyptian General Authority of Foreign Investment (GAFI) since 2017.  Since his graduation from Faculty of Law, Cairo University in 1987, Amr has worked in three complementary fields, which are Academia, Law practice and Diplomacy.

In the field of Academia, Amr is currently a Professor of International Law at Cairo University. He started his academic career as Assistant Lecturer at Faculty of Law, Cairo University in January 1988 and subsequently a Lecturer in 1997 and Assistant Professor in 2004 until 2010 at the same university. He is also a visiting professor at SciencePo. (France) and Verona University (Italy). As Academic for more than 35 years, he taught courses in other universities and institutions, such as: American University in Cairo (AUC), Ain Shams University, Egyptian Institute of Diplomatic Studies, Egyptian National Center for Judicial Studies, Institute of Arab Studies and Research (Arab League). He also supervised postgraduate students (LL.M and Ph.D).
