Mr. TAY Peng Cheng is the Head of WongPartnership’s Energy, Projects & Construction Practice. With a practice focussed on the energy and utility industries, construction and engineering projects, and infrastructure developments, he advises clients on all aspects of project development and represents them in dispute resolution proceedings, including in disputes arising out of large-scale energy and utilities projects, construction and engineering contracts, supply and offtake agreements, and projects in the Middle East.  With close to 30 years of experience in these areas, he is highly ranked in various leading legal publications, with clients highlighting his "sharp legal skills”, "strong technical ability", and for being “commercially minded, practical and timely”.  Peng Cheng is also active in drafting, reviewing and negotiating the suite of energy/construction-related contracts and other project documentation for various types of developments, plants and installations.

Peng Cheng is a Fellow of CIArb and AIADR and has been appointed to the panel of arbitrators / adjudicators of various institutions.  He is recommended as a Global Leader for Construction and National Leader (Southeast Asia – Construction) in Who’s Who Legal, is recognised as a Litigation Star by Benchmark Litigation Asia-Pacific and is the winner of the Lexology Client Choice Award 2022 for Construction in Singapore.
