Professor Marike Paulsson is the Secretary General of the International Commercial Dispute Resolution Council, Kingdom of Bahrain, the vice chair of the Board of Trustees at the Bahrain Chamber for Dispute Resolution and an advisor to the Bahrain Economic Development Board and Albright Stonebridge Group in Washington, DC. With over two decades of expertise in international law, arbitration, cross-border litigation, and human rights, she advises on global strategy and commercial diplomacy for resolving disputes.

Professor Paulsson is the Vice President of the Global Institute for Peace Studies and the Mauritius Arbitration & Mediation Centre. She authored the treatise on the 1958 New York Convention and co-founded the ICCA NYC Roadshow to engage the judiciary globally on its application.

She is a visiting professor at the University of Miami, University of São Paulo, and Jindal Global University. She worked at Hanotiau & van den Berg, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, and Allen & Overy. Professor Paulsson holds degrees from Leiden University, the University of Miami, and Sciences Po, Paris. Fluent in five languages, she is a member of several international bar associations. She is based in Manama, Bahrain.
