Ken Hyatt is a Founder and Partner of CMPartners, advising clients on complex negotiations, conflict resolution, and critical relationship management. His expertise includes facilitating disputes, enhancing organizational conflict management, and guiding organizations in building and repairing key relationships. He also offers trade and investment advice to entities in international commerce and conducts global training workshops.
Mr. Hyatt rejoined CMPartners after serving as Acting Under Secretary and Deputy Under Secretary for International Trade at the U.S. Department of Commerce. He led the International Trade Administration (ITA), overseeing a $500 million budget and 2,200 employees. Under his leadership, ITA advanced U.S. trade policy, addressed market access and compliance issues, promoted competitiveness, and managed trade laws and advocacy. He co-led the establishment of SelectUSA, the government’s investment promotion agency, and contributed to the U.S. National Travel and Tourism Strategy.
Previously, Mr. Hyatt was a principal at Conflict Management Inc. and a consultant at Bain & Company, where he led strategy, M&A, and organizational projects for multinational corporations. As an Associate at the Harvard Negotiation Project, he taught negotiation seminars to business executives and graduate students. Mr. Hyatt combines extensive public and private sector experience with deep expertise in negotiation and conflict management.
