Ellis Baker is Head of the White & Case's Construction Practice, and a leading authority on construction law.

Ellis advises clients on all aspects of the delivery of construction and engineering projects, from procurement and the drafting and negotiation of contracts, to contract administration and the avoidance and resolution of disputes. Originally a barrister, Ellis acts as lead advocate in the cases on which he is instructed.

Ellis has advised developers, contractors, consultants and lenders on projects in 31 countries across five continents, including power stations, oil and gas installations, metals and mining facilities, process plants, transport infrastructure and commercial developments.

Ellis is one of the few individuals ranked Band 1 for Construction: Contentious and Construction: International Arbitration by Chambers UK. He is also ranked in the Hall of Fame for Construction by The Legal 500.

Ellis has been recognised by independent legal directories as a leading lawyer for construction law since 2005, and, in 2022, was described as being "very knowledgeable and a leading expert in FIDIC contracts, [as well as] an impressive international construction lawyer." by Chambers UK.

Ellis is lead author of "FIDIC Contracts: Law and Practice", published by Informa, the principal construction text covering the whole suite of major FIDIC forms of contract.

  • Registration Fees: Once paid, event registration fees are non-refundable, non-cancellable, and non-transferable. Fees are valid exclusively for entry to RIDW25.
  • Promotional Codes: Any promotional codes are personal to the individual or entity to whom they were provided and are non-transferable. Individuals or entities other than those specified are ineligible to apply or use these promotions. The Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration (SCCA) and the RIDW25 Organizing Committee reserve the right to deny or cancel the registration and entry of anyone who attempts to use a promotion for which they are not eligible. Paid amounts will not be refunded if denied or canceled registrations
  • Media Consent: By attending any RIDW24 event, you waive any rights to object to your appearance in media coverage related to the event, including photos, videos, and television. This applies whether captured directly by the event host or by other media present.
  • Photography Permission: By accepting these terms and conditions, you grant permission for the SCCA, RIDW25 Organizing Committee and the Event Organizers to take photographs during the conference and events which may be used for marketing and promotional purposes.
