Dr. Franco Mastrandrea LLB(Hons), MSc, PhD, FRICS, FCIArb, Barrister at Law. Franco has over 40 years of experience in the construction industry, on all continents.

 

He regularly acts as mediator, adjudicator, expert determiner, and arbitrator. He is a CEDR accredited mediator, appears on the panel of adjudicators maintained by RICS, CIArb, and FIDIC, is a Chartered Arbitrator and appears on the panels of arbitrators maintained by RICS, CIArb, DIAC, HKIAC, SIAC, and IDRC.

 

Franco has acted as Expert in Court and at Arbitration, whether party or tribunal appointed, on substantial construction disputes on quantum, delay, and project management. He has been recognised as a Global Elite Thought Leader by Who’s Who Legal.

 

Franco was involved/mentioned in numerous reported construction and real property cases in the English courts.

 

He holds an MSc with distinction in project management from the University of Reading, graduating top of the class and, from the same University, a PhD in the evaluation of construction contractors’ claims addressing the law, practice, and quantification of claims for construction work on which he has written extensively, particularly in the International Construction Law Review, for which publication he is also on the Editorial Advisory Board.
