Clare Lavin is a Partner with HKA, a leading global consultancy in risk mitigation and dispute resolution. She is part of the EMEA forensic accounting and commercial damages team and is based in Dubai. Clare is a Chartered Accountant with over 22 years of experience as an accounting professional. She has a breadth of regional and international experience having worked in the UK, Spain and for the last 13 years in the Middle East.

Clare is an accounting expert witness and has testified on a number of occasions. She specialises in the assessment of economic damages having worked on a wide range of dispute engagements. She is also regularly involved in complex financial fraud investigations and other forensic accounting engagements.

Clare has been recognized by Who’s Who Legal, now the Lexology Index, for her work in the Commercial Litigation space and was one of only three experts shortlisted in the region to be considered a leader in their field.

She is on the global steering committee for the ERE Pledge, advocating for equal gender representation in the appointment of expert witnesses. She is also part of the MENA committee for the ERA Pledge, an initiative to raise the profile of female arbitrators in the MENA region.
