Chris Seymour was appointed Mace’s Managing Director for the Middle East and Africa in January 2024 to oversee the company’s growth, performance and service excellence in the region.

With more than 35 years of experience in construction, engineering and consultancy – and more than 15 in the Middle East – Chris leads a team of 1,200 professionals across Mace’s offices in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Egypt, Kenya and South Africa.

Prior to joining Mace, Chris was Managing Director for Mott MacDonald Middle East, where he directed strategic initiatives for a 3,200-person business, managing operations across multiple markets.

Chris's career also includes over a decade of senior-level experience with Arcadis, where he advised on mergers and strategy as part of a wide-ranging role within the company. He is also a current RICS Governing Council member for MENA, an advisor to ENBD REIT, and was named Construction Executive of the Year in 2020 by Construction Week magazine.

An effective communicator with extensive multi-sector knowledge, Chris regularly speaks at conferences and is a frequent media contributor. His expertise encompasses key market sectors such as infrastructure and megaprojects, utilities, energy, transport and commercial development.
