Alshaima Alshayeb is a civil qualified engineer, with over seven years of experience in sustainable development and actively applying the principles of sustainable development. She has been extensively involved in various sustainability initiatives and projects, demonstrating her commitment to fostering sustainable practices in urban development and buildings. Alshaima's expertise encompasses community projects, circular economy, gender equity, decarbonisation, stakeholder management, procurement policies, and sustainable certification.

She has a deep understanding of sustainable design principles, impact assessment methodologies, and effective communication strategies, which she leverages to drive positive change in her field. In her current role as a Project Sustainability Officer, Alshaima has been actively involved in developing comprehensive sustainability plans tailored to mixed land-use project communities. She collaborates closely with stakeholders to integrate circular economy principles into all stages of design, development, and operation. Her focus includes promoting resource efficiency, waste reduction and recycling, water management and product life extension to enhance the sustainability of buildings. Alshaima has also played a vital role in implementing sustainable procurement policies and selecting environmentally friendly materials to support sustainable practices within her projects
