As part of Disputes Week 2025, Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher is hosting an in-depth series of back-to-back panels, followed by a networking reception, centered around "The Role of the State as Regulator and Interested Party: Investment Treaties, Special Economic Zones, and Extraterritorial Laws."

Drawing on the strength of our leading disputes practice, both internationally and within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, this event will explore the theme from multiple perspectives. The discussions will cover key topics that are of particular relevance to stakeholders in the KSA and the broader Middle East region. Topics will include the role of the State in investment treaties and international arbitration, the dynamics of special economic zones, and cross-border investigations in the context of extraterritorial laws (such as anti-bribery and economic sanctions).

Prominent speakers and panelists from both abroad and the Kingdom will participate in this event, including leading disputes practitioners, renowned scholars, and current and former government officials.
