    • Panel discussion: Tech & Arbitration: Which One Best Serves the Other?

Technology is everywhere. It is an all-pervasive constant in our modern age. Its benefits continue to expand as increasingly advanced and intuitive technologies become more integrated with our everyday lives. However, technology is not always helpful and, in the hands of bad actors, technology can be positively harmful.

In this session we will explore the challenges and opportunities that technology brings in arbitration and investigations. Join Bird & Bird partners Sophie Eyre, Bill Smith and Simon Shooter as they discuss the key questions arising in the ever-evolving intersection between arbitration, investigations and technology. How can AI affect liability? How do law firms and tribunals use technology to their advantage? How are regulators and arbitral institutions responding to the increasing use of AI ? Can AI itself be the subject of disputes? How is AI being used by counsel and arbitrators, beyond case-management ? Will AI ever replace tribunals?

Renowned for our tech-savvy approach, these and other topics will be covered during this session.
