Mariana is a partner of Hui Zhong Law Firm based in Beijing. She handles both international commercial and investment arbitration under major international institutional rules and the UNCITRAL arbitration rules.
For investment arbitration, she represented two Chinese investors in an ICSID arbitration against a Southeast-Asian State, advised clients on potential investment disputes and currently is advising an investor in an ad hoc arbitration against an Asian State. She also represents clients in Chinese court proceedings including enforcement matters. Mariana is also an arbitrator and a frequent lecturer at prestigious law schools in China. She constantly provides arbitration-related trainings to bar associations and State-owned enterprises. She received her LLM from NYU and is qualified in China and the New York State.
